About Our Store

What began as a hobby making hair accessories in 2012 eventually grew into a little company called Emily and Bean, creating embroidered hair clips and bows. This small venture carried me through some of the most challenging times of my life while navigating undiagnosed health issues.

Along the way, I also explored natural skincare, selling products and teaching women about their benefits, and absolutely loved every moment. During the 2020 pandemic, I had the privilege of sending hand cream samples and full-sized products to healthcare workers across the country. It was then that I felt a deep pull to stay connected to the healthcare community.

With the guidance of a dear friend, I added badge reels to Emily and Bean, and SmallTownSunshine Co. was born. Today we are a full time badge reel operation, and every order that comes through my shop is made with the same care and love as the very first one. I’m always seeking new ways to delight my customers and bring a little extra sunshine into your day.
